For five days we will gather in a beautiful house in Catalonia to create, learn, share and rediscover creativity through photography, gastronomy and storytelling.

JULLIANNE MEDEIROS

Photographer, Creative Director & Founder of WITH OTHER EYES Retreats
Jullianne Medeiros is a photographer, creative director and visual storyteller with over a decade of experience creating editorial projects and immersive creative experiences.
Her work brings together photography, gastronomy, people and place to tell authentic stories with depth and emotion. Through WITH OTHER EYES, she creates spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with their creativity and discover a new way of seeing the world.
During the retreat, Jullianne will guide participants through visual storytelling, creative direction, portraiture, lifestyle photography and a series of carefully curated experiences designed to inspire both personally and creatively.
MRIDRUL KAWATRA

Founder of Food Art Project
Mridul Kawatra is the founder of Food Art Project, one of the world's largest and most active food photography communities.
Passionate about bringing people together through creativity, she has built an international community where photography, food and storytelling become a shared language.
During the retreat, Mridul will share her culture through Indian cuisine, inspiring participants to explore storytelling, creativity and the emotional connection between food and photography.
MIKEL PONCE

Food Photographer
Mikel Ponce is one of Spain's leading food photographers and has worked alongside hundreds of chefs and Michelin-starred restaurants.
Known for his refined visual style and extensive experience in the gastronomic industry, he combines technical excellence with a strong creative vision.
During the retreat, Mikel will share his creative process, take participants behind the scenes of a live photo shoot and mentor every participant as they develop their own personal project.
JOSÉ ISKANDAR

Photographer & Storyteller
I often describe José Iskandar as a culinary poet.
He has built an extraordinary community by revealing the beauty found in everyday life, food and tradition. Through elegant, simple and deeply human photography, he reminds us that the most meaningful stories are often hidden within the smallest gestures.
José will share a Lebanese cooking experience and invite participants to photograph through his sensitivity, his quiet presence and his unique way of seeing the world.
LATEEF OKUNNU

Food & Lifestyle Photographer
Based in London, Lateef Okunnu is a food and lifestyle photographer renowned for creating visually striking imagery that brings together food, light, composition and storytelling.
Having photographed books, commercial campaigns and advertising projects around the world, he has built an impressive portfolio working with some of the industry's most sought-after chefs and mixologists.
For Lateef, photography is about more than simply documenting food. It is about finding the emotion, craftsmanship and story within every scene, creating images that invite people to stop, look and feel something.

With Other Eyes es mucho más que un encuentro; es un retiro creativo que ofrece una experiencia única. Nos adentramos en lo más profundo de nuestra creatividad y conectamos con otras personas de intereses similares. Durante estos días, hemos vivido momentos inolvidables que han quedado grabados en nuestra memoria. Aprendimos a romper barreras, sumergiéndonos en talleres, charlas y actividades que nos desafiaron y motivaron.

Una experiencia increíblemente fantástica con grandes personas de todo el mundo. Aquí conocí a gente con sus propias historias y carreras que todos tenían los mismos intereses Pero independientemente del intercambio de experiencias sobre el tema de la fotografía, conocí a gente maravillosa. Fue un momento muy agradable e interesante para construir nuevas relaciones y amistades, que definitivamente no terminan con el final del retiro.

Es difícil describir lo que consigue la experiencia de participar en "With other eyes" tanto Jullianne como el resto de panelistas de profesionales te invitan a sumergirte en su mundo artístico repleto de sensibilidad. Se exploran no solo métodos fotográficos vanguardistas, si no también usando luz natural, storytelling, la parte de los negocios etc... Aparte, la experiencia se eleva hasta la parte sensorial culunaria. En nuestro curso todos y cada una de las comidas fueron exquisitas y bien cuidadas. Para mi, aunque soy nueva en el mundo de la fotografía ha sido un auto-regalo participar pero la gran sorpresa ha sido los lazos que formado tanto con las tutoras y con las compañeras que participamos. Cuatro días de pura magia que volvería a repetir sin pensarlo. Gracias Jullianne y todo el equipo que lleva a cabo esta experiencia tan maravillosa✨️

"El retiro de fotografía "With other eyes" nos parece una manera genial de conectar con otros fotógrafos en un entorno que fomenta la creatividad. Nos ha pasado muchas veces que salimos de un encuentro con otros fotógrafos y estamos más motivados que nunca para probar cosas nuevas, o para desarollar ese proyecto personal que llevamos tanto tiempo aplazando, o simplemente para ver la fotografía de una manera un poco diferente. Recientemente tuve el privilegio de asistir a un retiro fotográfico verdaderamente extraordinario. Durante cuatro días llenos de fotografía, recetas, encuentros. Este retiro reunió a un grupo de fotógrafas fantásticas, dándonos una oportunidad única para conocernos mejor, avanzar en nuestra pasión por la fotografía y mucho más. El entorno que Jullianne nos propuso no podía ser mejor, una casa preciosísima donde pudimos hacer mil fotos. Tenía todo organizado, la comida, flores, el plan del retiro, gente muy especial que vino como invitados. No solo hicimos fotos culinarias, sino también retratos y de paisajes. Además de las actividades fotográficas, el retiro también nos dio la oportunidad de conectar y crear lazos entre todas. En resumen, fue un retiro fotográfico que superó todas mis expectativas. Fue una experiencia inolvidable, llena de aprendizaje, crecimiento personal y conexión con otras personas apasionadas por la fotografía.
